2020 AGM
The AGM approved all points listed on the agenda today from a cold and windy corner of the bowling green.
A fresh cut
The hedges have had a first cut in a while. The paddock side will be trimmed later.
A watertight club chalet .. we hope!
And so to bed for another season
On Saturday 10th October the green was put to bed for another year. Using Bowls England guidelines the green was scarified, aerated, fed and wrapped up.
Men vs Women
After a resounding loss last year the men were looking to get back to winning ways this year. Sunbury has a very strong women’s section and the men would definitely have to up their game.
A beautiful afternoon saw narrow one point wins for each of the men and women on two of the rinks. The men took another rink by 6 points but crucially the women won on the the last rink by 7 points to take the match overall 60-59.
The men will have to dust themselves off and come out fighting again next year.
A friendly at Woodlands
We enjoyed a super afternoon at the recent friendly at Woodlands. We somehow managed to win on 2 rinks and lose on 1 but the winner was the weather and the bonhomie. There was also a first for Cassie .. a small drink during the mid-play break!
Thursday Triples

After a couple of catch-up games on a glorious Saturday here are the standings ..

8 pts – Lucky Wicks (Alan); Firers (Karen); Jack High (Nikki)
4pts – Blockers (Bob); Back Woods (Lynda)
Finals 2020
We enjoyed a super day for the Finals. The sun shone brightly at times and the play matched it!
