It was a clean sweep for Sunbury in the raffle after Sunday’s opening SML game of the season at Hampton! Mind you, the actual bowling went pretty well too with the team winning on two of the four rinks, losing overall 66-69. This translates into a a 4-6 points loss, Sunbury’s best return against perennial winners Hampton for sometime .. apart from in the Bluewood Cup!
The weather played its part for our recent Open Days with lots of folk getting a good feel of why we love lawn bowls. We’re optimistic that some will take it further and decide to join us so please do welcome anyone who you don’t recognise at Club Night on Tuesday and beyond.
The South Middlesex competitions will be submitted next week so this is a final reminder to add your name if you want to enter. Please also do sign the Data Protection form as that allows the organisers to publish names and contact details.
The coming week sees three team games in addition to the regular roll-up at Club Night (please register by 5:45) and the popular Thursday morning outing.
Wed 6th 2:30pm – Sunbury v Walton (friendly);
Sat 9th 2:30pm – Royal Household v Sunbury (friendly);
Sun 10th 2:30pm – Sunbury v Staines (SML)
