With our club competitions in full swing it’s such a pleasure to see so many games being played. On the downside we need to be mindful of the hot weather especially as we move into a heatwave this coming week. After a couple of recent incidents on the green it’s only sensible to arrange rehydration or cooling down breaks during play.

Most of the competition sheets are up to date online and on the paper copies in the summerhouse .. at least for now!

This last week has seen some fine games played in county competitions by our Sunbury bowlers. Commiserations to those coming out second .. you can hold your heads high! Congratulations to the blossoming partnership of JenB & Tracy who’ve battled through three rounds of the Middx Women’s Pairs to qualify for the county quarter/semis to be held at Rosedale Park, Hayes on 28th. Unfortunately that clashes with our Mixed 2-wood Singles competition but I’m sure you’ll join me in wishing them all the best representing Sunbury.
