Our Eurovision entry narrowly avoided it but, unfortunately, Sunbury couldn’t in their latest SML game at Stanwell, losing on all rinks. It was going okay whilst the sun was shining but by the end the gloom had set in and with it all hope of any points. Next weekend sees two home games .. here’s hoping we can record our first win of the season whilst our club captain is away!

This week sees the start of Middlesex competition games so good luck to all our Sunbury bowlers competing over the coming weeks. Some games may run alongside Tuesday’s Club Night so please be mindful when moving around the green to avoid distractions.

Our internal club competitions will be starting soon – the deadline for entry is Wed 20th so please get in touch if you fancy entering any of them. We currently have an odd number of entrants to both the Men’s and Women’s Pairs so we’d welcome at least one more entrant in each. If you’re fairly new to bowling, then playing pairs really is one of the best formats with a rare opportunity to play with all 4 bowls and then if things do go awry, you just leave it to your more experienced partner!

 

The work to the SSA main building and access path started this week. Things are changing quick so please be careful and advise any visitors appropriately.
